Campground Near Charleston SC

Not only are we pretty excited to be back to the Charleston area for the winter, but we happened to stumble on an opportunity to be the camp hosts of the Summerville Lakes RV Park and Campground, and it’s just 26 miles away from Charleston SC! 

The campground was once the Ashley Recreation Campground, but has not been in operation for several years. It was recently purchased and is going through an overhaul process. 

The first section with 9 sites filled up within a few weeks after opening,  but more sites are available!  Sections 2 and 3 are now open (As of November 28, 2022), and starting to fill. The owner is looking for monthly renters, but we may still be able to accommodate weekly stays until all sites have been occupied. 

The Campground is beautiful! It does have a rustic feel since it is a work in progress, and Section 2 and 3 has a narrow drive through the woods. It’s a great place if you are comfortable with that!
